After Christmas Retail Buys!

Of course, it being after Christmas, most people have extra money to spend. Well, me too!

First off, Sears has a good booth dedicated to Hello Kitty apparel. Items include scarves (I got one of these!), bags, totes, knock-off slipper boots, rain boots, and pillows! I would have loved to wheel the whole thing out for myself...

Also, make sure to check out Hot Topic! Before Christmas, I went in to browse and found a huge booth dedicated to HK. Sanrio 50th anniversary items are also most likely to be in stock. My favorite, though: Hello Kitty flapper hats and fingerless gloves! So glad I got those for Christmas!!

Anywho, they have an awesome ring there for about $14. They only had a size six at my local store, but I got it anyway. I wear a size seven. Oh well. ;__;

That's all for now. Happy New Year!

Toys R Rus, Macy's, and Disney Epcot!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't posted since July, but Fall Semester slugged me a new one.

So, oldest to newest, shall we?

I was in a Macy's a while back (Altoona, PA for reference) and the little girl's section had a marvelous array of HK items. My favorite, of course, was the Hello Kitty accented jean. So horribly sad they are just for little girls. :'(

No idea if the display still exists, but you can def check it out.

Over Thanksgiving break, I visted Florida--so I obviously went to Disney World. Did you know Disney Epcot is a one-shot destination for Hello Kitty goods? I'm sorry if you didn't. Within the Japan section of the World Expo, is a wonderful gift shop. Right as you enter, there is a huge wall dedicated to Hello Kitty herself on the right. CHECK IT OUT! Things may be a bit over-priced, but it's well worth it. Japanese imports and the wonderful items found on Sanrio.com cover the walls. My favorite, though, are the HK plush selection. Myself, I grabbed a Gingerbread themed plush, imported umbrella, pink tee, sticker, Cinnamaroll water bottle, and a 50th anniversary tote to carry everything in!

Last but not least is a destination we've all pretty much been to--the Toys 'r Us. Of course, I haven't been to one for a LONG time until this weekend. So what's the most awesome thing about it? A GIANT Hello Kitty section PLUS sales. All sorts of little gadgets and plushes. My favorite though: the huge HK plush for $36! I'm going to get it after Christmas. Other than that, I had to get a $11 watch--for kids, I know--but it fits my really small wrist perfectly!

Till next time! Hope your holidays are filled with Hello Kitty dreams! <3

A little late, but some awesome finds!

I've been meaning to post these for awhile now. But, ya know...sometimes I do get a life. Just realized the other day that I am actually busy. Huh.

Anyway, I found awesome Hello Kitty doo-dads in the Michael's one dollar aisle! It's totally worth checking out.

This is what I all got!

Also, Target now has an awesome wall clock for only $10 as well as an alarm clock.

That's about it for now!

Sigg's at Wegmans!

I've been wanting to mention this for a while now: they have Hello Kitty Sigg water bottles at Wegmans! Need I say awesomely awesome? I love mine:

Check 'em out. They have the same ones at Sanrio.com at local Wegman's.

Target update & imported HK candy

I managed to get a closer look at the Hello Kitty makeup accessory pillar at Target the other day! I'm not quite sure if there is anything quite new, but it looked like it to me. So, check upon it every couple weeks--see if there's anything interesting!

I like how they have things that we use normally in daily life, like chapstick. It makes everything so much better if you have that item in Hello Kitty!

Hello Kitty nail polish for adults? Yes, please.

Also, I recent trip to Wegmans sprouted a good find: Hello Kitty strawberry marshmellow candy! I'm even tempted...

New sightings at Walmart, Payless, and more!

Some cool sightings the last few days.

Firstly, check out my new HK bling! It's a $12 fake-rhinestone ring from Hot Topic. It's definitely a steal if you're looking for a Hello Kitty ring without bursting your wallet for a Kimora Lee Simon's $4,000 pink diamond one.

One thing's for sure, I'm totally scared to wear it at work--is it THAT big?

Next thing on the list is some Hello Kitty items I found while browsing through the sale aisle at Walmart. They're mainly arts and craft kits made for little girls, but it's still amusing to get them every once in awhile.

Think Payless is all about shoes? WRONG! They got some HK gear for girls, but just fine as a tote or clutch/messenger bag for older peeps.

All on sale, by the way!

Kohls & Michael Craft Stores

Found some good Hello Kitty items while shopping last weekend. Stupid me forgot to send all of the images to Photobucket, so there's only two today.

I never really checked out the Junior's underwear section before at Kohls, but was pleased to discover many colors (and not thong style) panties. My favorite pair is the one below.

Sad news is, they all (except the white pair) are kind of coarse to the touch. Boohoo. But, if you can handle that and want 5 pairs for $25, all the best to you. Oh, they also have a bunch of Hello Kitty PJs. Do seize that oppurtunity.

For some reason, Michael's has a lot of candy. Why? I have no idea, considering it's a craft store. Also, if you notice all the racks dedicated to candy, you'll be able to see a wide varity of HK sweets. My personal fave is the Hello Kitty battery-powered personal fan that comes with a candy bracelet. My chinchilla really loves that fan.

So I didn't go to the King of Prussia Mall,

but I did remember that I went to the Sanrio store in Freeport, Bahamas! Granted, everything was over-priced, but it's an amazing experience to be in once of the stores. Little 'ole me hasn't been in any Sanrio store before.

I know I look frumpy, but it was hot, sunny, and I lack fashion sense.

New Target HK Makeup Pillar!

Found an awesome section of Hello Kitty beauty goods hidden behind the makeup section at Target today. I don't know if it really is new or not.

I'm not one for lipgloss, but I was tempted to grab the cosmetic bag that came with flipflops.

Chances are high that I will be going to the Sanrio store at the King of Prussia tomorrow. Wish me luck! :3

The best stores for HK!

The easiest way to get Hello Kitty merch is by knowing where to look at local store chains. I've composited a list of popular stores that offer good HK products.

I'll add more as I find out.
1.) Hot Topic
Hot Topic offers one of the best selections for HK materials. Don't be scared of its rough exterior, associates are usually very friendly. There is usually a designated "Hello Kitty" section that consists of jewelry and other misc. products. HK t-shirts are usually sold elsewhere in the store, but are worth the buy.

Check out: HK bathing suits & flipflops! New ones every season.

Money saving tip: For an extra bang for your buck, search the 50% section for Hello Kitty t-shirts of all sizes.

2.) Target
Target has all sorts of Hello Kitty materials--from school supplies to toasters. Because of Sanrio's 35th anniversary, Target has a special section in the girls' toy section with Hello Kitty stamps, dolls, fortune cookie makers, and much more. Checking the appliance section will also be a bonus: Target offers HK toasters, water dispensers, waffle makers, boomboxes, (and my favorite) blowdryers. Hello Kitty bedding and pillows are also sold in the bedroom department. Sadly, the only Hello Kitty apparel that they have are in child sizes.

Check out: HK "Have a Happy Hair Day" Blowdryer

Money saving tip: Check the $1 aisle near the entrance frequently. They hide Hello Kitty pens, stickers, and even socks there.

3.) Sears
Sears has some good Hello Kitty apparel. Check the Juniors department every once in awhile to see different Hello Kitty t-shirts. They also sell Hello Kitty panties there. What's better than that?

4.) JCPenny
Like Sears, JCPenny have a good selection in Hello Kitty t-shirts in the Junior department. Most things are on sale, so it's not that bad price-wise.

5) Hallmark
For some reason, Hallmark has begun to sell Hello Kitty TY beanie babies. They are real cute, and make good plushies, they even come on key chains.

Money saving tip: Look at the bins they have by the cash registers. They might have some cheap HK lipgloss or candy there.

6) Claire's
Though Claire's might seem like it's for little girls, it is timeless for the HK fan. They have a Hello kitty section usually near the back. They don't usually have plushies, but their jewelry is pretty cute.

Check out: Miniature HK purses!

7) Walmart
When all else fails, there is always Walmart. Granted, you have to know where to look if there is anything Hello kitty. You'll notice they do sell Hello Kitty video games, but that's about it. Look through the card section and you might find some stickers.

Money saving tip: If you're a HK sticker freak, you should definitely think about buying an HK coloring book they sell at Walmart. Why? The stickers are endless and offer a lot more of a variety than normal pack of stickers.

UPDATE: Check out the clearance section and little girl's section--HK abundance!

8) Toys 'R Us
Never, ever feel embarrassed to go into your local Toys 'R Us for HK. It's a perfect blend of apparel and goods that little kids AND older gals love.

Check out: HUGE HK plush.

The Beginning!

You know, after many, many years of being a Hello Kitty addict, I have learned that it's not easy. People won't take you seriously if you're outed. Anyway, who cares? Be proud of it!

The best thing about Hello Kitty is that she is EVERYWHERE. Even in rural communities of the United States, HK is still accessible to everyone--you just have to know where to look. That's why I chose to create this blog, so others could get their Hello Kitty fix in the cheapest and easiest ways possible.

Cheers!
